Local Health Plans on Newsom Inauguration
Monday, January 7, 2019 - Brianna Lierman, CEO of the Local Health Plans of California, issued a statement to mark the inauguration of California’s 40th Governor, Gavin Newsom.
“We congratulate Governor Gavin Newsom on his inauguration and look forward to working closely with his team to help achieve universal health coverage. California’s 16 local health plans, which provide comprehensive health coverage 7.5 million Californians enrolled in Medi-Cal managed care, share his vision for a California for All, in health access, housing and equality of opportunity. These goals are important and will take focus and dedication. We stand ready to roll up our sleeves to help achieve them.”
